The myCSULA Portal

myCSULA is a central location for viewing information from multiple internal and external resources. Information is presented through containers known as portlets. myCSULA will provide the university a direct communication channel to the campus community.

myCSULA is divided into 3 basic regions: the Banner region, the Menu region and Portlet region. The Banner region contains the banner and links for customizing, getting help, submitting feedback, and login or logout. The Menu region has links to individual portal pages, and each page has specific university links. The Portlet region contains individual customizable portlets built for the portal.

Login to the Portal

A valid username and a password are required to login to the system; your portal username and password are the same as your Network Information services (NIS) Account, which is also used for your email and remote access. Your username is a unique name used by the campus network to identify you. By convention, the username is made up of the first letter of your first name followed by the first six letters of your last name (maximum of 8 characters long). A number is assigned as the last character in instances where duplicate username exist.
